Gary’s thoughts on…joining Bloglovin’

One of the things I wanted to do with Games and Grappling was to try and spread the coverage of the blog. By that, I wanted to see if I could try and get my writing out to a bigger audience. One of my ideas was to join Bloglovin’

I feel dirty just writing that – I really struggle with the ‘promotion’ side of blogging. I feel odd trying to get people to read what I write. It almost feels wrong to me, like I’m trying to manipulate people. I blame my anxiety when it comes to self promotion on myself. I’ve always found it hard to put myself out there really…I’m not sure if I’m scared of rejection or I’m just really introverted. Either way, I’ve been programmed to ‘keep my head in the sand’ and just quietly keep plugging away, hoping that others will notice my efforts and be the ones to sing my praises.

With Bloglovin’, I’m trying to get over my fear of ‘putting myself out there’ and look to get as many eyes on Games and Grappling as I can. I had the same doubts about WordPress eighteen months ago and I couldn’t have been more wrong. Getting involved with things I enjoy and communicating with like minded people has been an incredible feeling. Hopefully Bloglovin’ will lead to more of the thing the last eighteen months has taught me is that, the more you put in, the more you will get back.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. The Bloglovin’ link is below – if you use Bloglovin’ and want to follow a man in his mid thirties who plays games and watches wrestling, then that would be most appreciated.
